The Website statistics provides information about the visitor activity of your site. We would suggest that if you are not familiar with raw server logs then just use the Webalizer report. This provides a more graphical interpretation of visitor traffic along with a monthly breakdown of the information.
The servers create a log file that is updated with activity from traffic to a particular site. The data is saved in a standard format (the Common Log Format) for web server log files. More recent entries are typically appended to the end of the file. Information about the request, including client IP address, request date/time, page requested, HTTP code, bytes served, user agent, and referrer are typically added. Server logs do not collect user-specific information.
